Acupuncture
Qi (pronounced chee) is our vital life force and the foundation of Chinese medicine. Without Qi, we do not live. Qi controls our energy and functions. It flows through the body through networks known as channels
or meridians. These meridians traverse every part of our body to connect tissues, muscles, and organs. Optimal health occurs when qi
is abundant and flowing freely so that all of our systems experience a balance of activation and restoration of energy.
The basic principle of Chinese Medicine is that illness and disease arise when the flow
of qi is blocked or out of balance by being in excess or diminished. Treatment involves a restoration of qi flow so that the amount of
qi present is optimal and harmonious.
With acupuncture, needles are inserted into points along meridians to move and balance qi to restore health. Treatments are cumulative, with each treatment building upon the previous one. With time, as balance is restored in the body, the systems work with greater harmony to improve health and reduce future illnesses and pain.
Cupping and Gua Sha
Cupping and gua sha are traditional East Asian therapies that help move stuck qi and release tension in the body. Using glass or silicone cups to provide gentle suction, cupping draws blood circulation to the surface, easing tight muscles and reducing inflammation. Gua sha uses smooth tools to lightly scrape the skin, breaking up stagnation and encouraging fresh blood flow. These therapies can reduce pain, calm the nervous system, and support your body’s natural healing process.

Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicine is the use of a plant's seeds, roots, bark, berries, leaves, or flowers for medicinal purposes, both in preventing and treating disease. Plants have been used as medicine for longer than recorded history in cultures all over the world.
The World Health Organization estimates that 80% of people worldwide rely on herbs as part of their primary healthcare. Due to the rising cost of prescription medications, as well as an interest in returning to natural remedies, the use of herbal medicine is increasing in the United States.
The best use of herbal medicine involves combining individual herbs into an herbal formula. Combining herbs produces a stronger effect in the body and is more effective than using a single herb to treat a condition. Herbs are traditionally administered through a method known as an herbal decoction. In a decoction, the raw herbs are boiled in water to create a tea. More convenient methods include powdered herbs which are dissolved in hot water or taken in a capsule form.
Herbal medicine can be a powerful way to treat many condittions such as insomnia, asthma, skin conditions, premenstrual syndrome, arthritis, migraines, menopausal symptoms, chronic fatigue, and irritable bowel syndrome. This is a short list of the many conditions that herbs can treat!
Supplements
While nutritional balance is essential for healthy living, we often find that our bodies have been functioning in a state of imbalance that can best be addressed through our use of supplements in the form of vitamins, minerals, probiotics and amino acids. Using both common lab tests and a scientifically validated laboratory test called DUTCH, unique nutritional deficiencies can be identified and addressed with high quality supplements to support overall health and provide for a vital physiological foundation. This data driven approach perfectly complements acupuncture and holistic treatments, working jointly to accelerate healing, attain balance and maintain long term wellness.
Nutrition
Nourishing your body with mindful nutrition is the cornerstone of sustainable wellness. Choosing nutrient-dense ingredients helps your body maintain internal harmony and thrive through every season. What you consume is fundamental to your holistic health journey, empowering you to live with greater vitality and strength.
